The Life and Works of Christ

 October 24th

Knowing who Christ is changes who we are.

This course explores who the Bible says Jesus Christ is. His prophesied birth, sinless life, miraculous ministry, His crucifixion and resurrection, the Rapture and His Second Coming will be examined. This course will aid the believer to develop a greater understanding of why knowing who Jesus is changes who we are.

Practical Christian Living

How do we live now that we understand Christ?

This course will explain the practical calling and challenges of Christian Living in today’s world. Special attention will be given to the Spiritual Disciplines of Bible Reading, Prayer, Church Involvement, Tithing and Godly character. Students will discover how these principles become foundational building blocks in pursuing intimacy with God, powerful lifelong ministry, and the benefits of authentic Christian living.

Old Testament Survey

This course will examine the redemptive thread from creation to the birth of Christ. The Old Testament clearly specifies how God progressively revealed His redemptive plan through the law, poetry and the prophets. Each Old Testament book will be examined to determine its basic message, purpose, how it points to Jesus Christ and its place in the historical and political setting of the Old Testament.

A Biblical Worldview

How do I see the world now that I live for Christ?

This course will explore the contrast that exists between the Biblical and Secular Worldview. The students will explore how worldview impacts all aspects of life including voting, parenting, spending and lifestyle. This course will examine the role the Christian plays in shaping culture by the application of Biblical absolutes in a world where values and beliefs change daily.

New Testament Survey

This course examines The New Testament as God’s message to all of humanity. The New Testament clearly specifies how humans can enter into and maintain a personal relationship with God. The only way is through faith in Jesus Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit. It is essential to read and study all the books of the New Testament in order to gain spiritual insight into the earthly life of Jesus Christ, His mission, the consequences of sin, God’s provision of salvation through the Blood of Jesus Christ, the principles for living an abundant, empowered life for Christ, and the end times account of Revelation.
